Large Commercial Building Suffers Storm Flooding
Flat Roof Couldn't Handle Torrential Rain
This large commercial building uses a flat roof system like many others. The one side of the roof collected some debris and clogged drains. The water ended up finding a way inside the building which ruined the drywall.
Because of how high the building is SERVPRO of Denver East & Southwest used a scissor lift to help a two man crew remove all the broken and contaminated drywall. It was a long and drawn out process but needed to be done in order for the restoration to begin.
We would like to remind commercial facility managers to keep debris off of flat roofs to avoid a costly water damage.
