How to Cleanup After a Storm Damage

The water damage process for commercial buildings.

There are different types of water categories which lets us know the level of contamination. Depending on the contamination will depend on how the facility is cleaned. In the pictures shown the water came from flooding outside which is considered a Category 3 water loss or "black water."

Flood water requires extraction of the standing water from the building. Next, a disinfectant is used to keep mold and bacteria from growing. Lastly air movers and dehumidifiers are placed strategically to quicken the evaporation process.
